I will dominate 'serious fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round match which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming boxing match.

Ex two time unified boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I plan to break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Civil Interaction

Despite such comments, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his theatrics - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Tyson Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to Briton Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making massive paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As both boxers participated in the traditional confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it emphasized just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really proceeding.
